Delpit played college football at LSU, where he was a two-time consensus All American selection and winner of the 2019 Jim Thorpe Award given to the best defensive back in college football each season.

He would go on to be drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 44th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Since joining the Browns, Delpit has played in 37 games recording 175 total tackles (117 solo) and 6 interceptions.
